"Tried & Crucified"

Acke-Adams

Let You Be Stone

This story speaks of some of the sides of the narcissistic beast(S)in one's life. It was written also during a time I saw strength and courage coming from what was once a defeated soul. The chorus sings of encouragment, faith, and the knowing one has the strength to prevail.

Let You Be Stone

Acke-Adams

there's a wolf in sheep's clothing standing by
just waiting and watching for the weak to arrive
always more to the story than meets the eye
of the smile behind a soul vampire

they build you up and then tear you down
suck you in and then spit you out
you're just a broken piece of puzzle on his battleground
cannon fodder for him to throw around

let you be stone
let you stand tall
you got to dig deep down inside yourself
break free before you fall

stand your ground
stay steady fast
stay unbending in the backbone
built upon your broken past
let you be stone

you can hear the call for action now
there's a tear in his world that's shut him down
a loss of face to the selfish clown
a false king without his perfect crown

when the truth is heard you only hear a sigh
of the devil's voice and the angel's cry
there's no moral to the story but staying alive
no glory to be seen in the dead man's eyes
